Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get seasick? -- If you normally get motion sickness, then you very well might suffer seasickness on this trip, even though fortunately the boat is equipped with the most modern technology incorporated into its design that helps make every trip a smooth ride. Please be prepared and take preventative measures. There are some excellent remedies available from your doctor. Over the counter medications such as Bonine work well. Look for non-drowsy or less-drowsy options. Drink water and stay hydrated. Ginger candies are available on board. Bland (not fried or fatty) foods are best. Crackers and ginger ale are always a safe bet. Stay outside, as fresh air can help.

Are children allowed? -- Children under 3 years of age are not allowed to attend the cruise for safety reasons.

Is the cruise suitable for pregnant women? -- Pregnant women should consult with their doctors before participating in any physical activities. For safety reasons, it is not recommended that pregnant women attend.

Do your trips depart on time? -- Yes, trips depart promptly! Please arrive 30 minutes early for check-in. Don't miss the boat!

Which boat will I be on? -- Most of the expeditions take place on a premiere deluxe 65-foot high-speed catamaran. The boat has a unique hull shape and hydrofoil system that give it superior advantage over monohulls and increases lift. Although most trips will take place on board this modern vessel, the Captain reserves the right to use the equally great 43 x 14 foot Delta Marine boat when necessary. This vessel has indoor and outdoor seating and a heated cabin. Both boats will provide a great ride!

Do you guarantee whale sightings on every trip? -- Your captain cannot guarantee that you will always see whales, but has had great success. Your captain does guarantee that the crew will do its best to ensure that you have a great time on board!

How close up do we view whales? -- You will stop approximately 300 feet from the whales and let them come to you. This procedure follows federal whale watching guidelines. On these cruises, there is no touching, swimming with or feeding the wildlife.

Are there restrooms on the boat? -- Yes, both boats are equipped with clean restrooms.

Are your boats handicapped accessible? -- Unfortunately, there are 4 steps each passenger must make to board the boat; but, if you are mobile enough, the crew will be glad to assist you onto the boat to the best of their ability. The bathrooms on board are not wheelchair accessible but can be used by a passenger with limited mobility.

Can I smoke on the boat? -- No, smoking is not permitted on board.

Can I bring my own food and beverages on board? -- Yes! Please feel free to bring your own food or non-alcoholic beverages. You may bring beer or wine on the trip, but nothing with a higher alcohol content. Hard liquor is not allowed on board.
